    摘要:

    在总结了鄂尔多斯地区构造特征的基拙上,提出构造力学性质与地震强度之间有以下关系:(1)在以张性为主的断裂和断裂带上,可能发生的地震的最大震级一般小于7级,(2)在扭性特征显著的断裂和断裂带上发生的地震的最高震级可达到8级;(3)在具有明显压性特征的断裂和断裂带上,发生地震的震级大于8级,可达8½级。根据这一规律,对鄂尔多斯地区不同震级的潜在震源区进行了预测。

    Abstract:

    Based on the summarizing tectonic features in Ordos region,the authors advance following views.relating the tectonic mechanics speci-fic property to the earthquake strength.
    1.The maximum magnitude of earthquake that will happen on the tension fault or fault zone will be smaller than 7.
    2.The maximum magnitude of earthquake that will happen on shear fault or fault zone will be 7-8.
    3.The maximum magnitude of earthquake that will happen on the press fault or fault zone will be bigger than 8,may be 8½.
    According to these rules,the authors have predicted potential seismic focus place of different magnitudes in Ordos region
